person centred support would be a reality. Really supporting families and the families wider networks including friends to truly include individuals in leading ordinary, valued and rich lives in the community they grew up and are respected in. Support would also truly value and support carers roles in maintaining their own sense of ordinary life including work, social and aspirational needs. That way informal carers can continue to care and support in the long term reducing reliance on formal services and the individual being supported continues to live within the community they know and love and in which their confidence and potential can grow. Too often commissioners limit potential by continuing to roll over contracts and doing the same thing as oppose to getting involved at a very local level with networks , neighbourhoods , communities to see if funding can be used differently to grow support systems around the person.
