One minute on Monday?
Every Monday, we will be posting some of the unanswered questions from our forums via One Minute on Monday.
We are hoping that non-members will take one minute on a Monday to see if they can help with any of the questions and respond. Most of our forums are public and open for all to read but you have to register as a member to comment or post. You can always respond on the blog if you prefer not to register.
We are asking our members today what pledges they would like to see on NHS Change Day, which pledges would make a difference to them?

AAC- Dynavox Question
“My son is 15 years old with complex needs. He has severe cerebral palsy with limited use of his arms due to poor co- ordination. Developmentally he is at a very young age but does have a good level of understanding if kept short and simple. He is a very happy sociable young man. Prior to major surgery 10 months ago we were learning to use a dynavox. Due to the surgery the dynavox went on hold, we are now wanting to get back on track or try as he is still experiencing a lot of pain and ongoing problems. Because he is so sociable I feel the dynavox will be of great help to him. When he got the dynavox the SALT who is lovely set it up but then went on Mat leave, we felt it was all a bit much for him to deal with so we made a few alterations, very new to us also, the dynavox is still set up the same way, I have had a chat with his new SALT who has said she will give him a couple of 10 min sessions each week, I have said I feel it needs to go In front of him when he arrives at school to be used through out the day.
Any advice would be much appreciated!
