Here we are in August.  I am sitting here counting down the days until September 4th when routines return to the household, how about you?  I love having the kids home but sometimes, the lack of routine brings true Chaos in Kent.

Despite the school holidays, we had a really great response to our July nominations for BAPS of the Month.

For those who don’t already know:

BAPS = Bl**dy Awesome ParentS.

It was genuinely difficult to decide on a winner.  We decided to go for a mum who is battling the system with the hope that a small token of recognition will help her realise she is not alone.

BAPS of the Month – July

Our winner is the lovely Alison Telfer.

Here is why she was nominated.

 Ali has been fighting constantly to get her beautiful young man everything he truly deserves for the last 13 years.

There never seems to be any let up, she is constantly in a battle with someone.

If it isnt about the EHCP, its about gaining the right level of support, if its not that, its about getting a suitable wheelchair for her young man.

It is consistent, and yet she will always be there for you if you need her and trys to help everyone else going through the same stuff.

She really is a bl**dy awesome parent!
